Cindy & Kimo ♡ November 12, 2016
Of course my first wedding would be a 400-person wedding...because why start small? What. A. Day. I am so honored to have be the Day-Of Coordinator for the lovely couple (and newlyweds), Cynthia and Kimo Fonoti.
Cindy and I began coordinating in the summer months, which is a perfect time to contact a Day-of Coordinator since her wedding was in November. (Quick tip: Don't wait until the last minute to book a coordinator because he/she needs time to get on board with all the details!) Anyways, what I loved about working with Cindy was that she was so organized! Her mind was set on the details, she kept up with deadlines, and most importantly, she was excited to celebrate her and Kimo's big day.
Family and culture played a huge part in this celebration. In both the ceremony and the reception, the Samoan culture was incorporated in many ways -- from the decorations, to the food, and to the entertainment. It was such a joy seeing this all the love and culture come alive throughout the day. See bits and clips of it all here:
Oh and did I mention the guest count? Nearly 400 people came to celebrate Cindy & Kimo's big day. Also, with a wedding party of nearly 20 people total, there was a lot to prepare for! Thankfully, I had assistants on my side. People management was crucial as we made sure to hit all the important points of the wedding day timeline. Working with the wedding party was a breeze anyways, since everyone was thrilled to be a part of something special.
All in all, I could not have asked for a better first wedding to be a part of. The entire day was beautiful, elegant, and inspiring. I am so honored to have had Cindy and Kimo's trust and I could not have finished the day with a bang without an amazing team of assistants and vendors. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Fonoti!
Here's the Snapchat Geofilter I created for the reception at the Pomoka'i Ballrooms...featuring their gorgeous cake arrangement. :)
